In 2020 my darling wife was diagnosed with a Grade 4 glioblastoma on the brain. Initial treatment involved surgery, radiology and chemotherapy. In May of 2023 the tumour reappeared and a second resection of the tumour was needed along with more chemotherapy. After almost 3 months in hospital it was decided that further care would be provided at home. It was obvious that this would be an extremely challenging task and one that required expertise of the highest order. Integra Nursing had been recommended to me and, after pre-care planning visits, my wife’s care was entrusted to the team from Integra. The nursing staff also proved invaluable in providing me with expert knowledge and advice in the setting up of my home in preparation for my wife’s care.

Over the next seven months Integra’s Registered Nurses and Personal Care nurses provided a level of care for my wife that was second to none. Always punctual and beautifully attired in their uniforms, Integra’s nurses brought extraordinary and expert clinical knowledge and skill with them to every shift. Not frightened to go above and beyond in the provision of outstanding care, they also brought intelligence, diligence, confidence and compassion which helped to provide calming reassurance in even the most challenging of home care situations. My wife and I frequently remarked how lucky we were to have had Integra recommended to us.  I have no reservations in recommending Integra nursing to anyone who is considering home care as an alternative to hospitalisation.
